Calendula is a Homoeopathic Medicine; prepared from vegetable Kingdom.The mother tincture is prepared from the flowers, leaves, together with blooms and buds of Marigold. Calendula is A Great Homoeopathic Antiseptic Remedy. It restores vitality of an injured part. It is suitable to all cases of injuries where the skin is broken. It prevents suppuration and bringsabout healing promptly. Spheres of action :- It acts on muscles,tendons, nerves, scalp, skin etc.
Guiding Points :- 
(1) Traumatic affections, to secure union by first intention and prevent suppuration.
(2) Calendula is almost specific for clean cut, surgical cuts or lacerated wounds or suppurating wounds. It prevents suppuration, promotes healthy granulations of tissues and rapid healing by first intention.
(3)In all cases of loss of soft parts when union cannot be effected by means of adhesive plaster.
(4)Traumatic and idiopathic neuroma,neuritis from lacerated wounds, exhausted from loss of blood and excessive pain.
(5)Wounds with sudden pain during febrile heat, constitutional tendency to erysipelas, old, neglected offensive, threatening gangrene.
(6)Exhausted from loss of blood and excessive pain. Bledding from extraction of teeth.
(7)Ulcers, irritable, inflamed, sloughing, varicose, painful as if beaten, excessive secretion of pus. 
(8)Calendula mother tincture, lotion or liniment can be applied externally.
